Four Major Steps for Washing Machine Inspection by Huajian Company

Step 1:

Open the packaging box and inspect the external quality of the washing machine. The appearance should be aesthetically pleasing, smooth, clean, with elegant colors and clear lines. The surface of the cabinet should be free of scratches, with hard and glossy paint. Plastic parts should not be warped or deformed, and should have no burrs, cracks, or fissures. The inner surface of the washing tub should be smooth. Additionally, special attention should be paid to whether there are any welding defects in the welded parts of the washing machine, and whether the fasteners are loose. If the washing machine has a glass viewing window on the front door, the glass should be smooth, transparent, and free of cracks or bubbles. For pulsator washing machines, open the top cover and use a 2-cent coin to check the gap between the outer edge of the pulsator and the pulsator groove of the washing tub. If the coin can fit into the gap, slide it around the edge of the pulsator—the gap should be uniform. The pulsator fixing screws should be secure, and when manually rotated in both directions, the pulsator should move smoothly and without noise.

Step 2:

Inspect the quality of each component: Open the tub cover—the tub body should be smooth and free of defects. The gap between the pulsator and the tub should be approximately 1–1.5mm. Rotate the pulsator by hand; it should move flexibly in both directions without unusual sounds. Press the key switches on the control panel and rotate the timer or program controller—they should operate smoothly. Check whether the knobs, buttons, and levers on the control panel are easy to operate, securely installed, and function correctly. When pressing or releasing the keys, there should be no issues such as inability to press down or failure to spring back after being pressed.

Step 3:

Power on for a test run: For semi-automatic twin-tub washing machines, the pulsator should be able to rotate in both forward and reverse directions. The buzzer should sound an alarm as the timer approaches the end. The spin tub should be able to rotate, and when the spin tub lid is opened, the tub should brake and stop spinning. For fully automatic washing machines, they should operate according to the set program. The inlet and outlet valves should control normally. For drum washing machines, run an empty cycle to check for program errors and whether the display indicators are correct. During inspection, select the spin-only function and set it to high speed. Observe whether the inner drum remains almost stationary during operation—the smaller the amplitude, the better the motor. Listen to the mechanical and AC noise of the motor during operation—the lower the noise, the better the motor.

Test the water inlet, drainage, and spin performance. When the washing machine automatically fills with water, touch the plastic water inlet of the water inlet solenoid valve located at the upper rear of the machine. If there is vibration, it indicates the water inlet system is working normally. After water filling is complete, the washing tub should continuously rotate in both forward and reverse directions. Touch the outer shell—there should be no sensation of electric shock. Then, turn off the power and initiate the drainage process. Generally, the water should drain completely within two minutes. Afterward, the washing machine should automatically enter the spin cycle. When the high-speed rotation sound of the spin tub is heard, open the spin tub lid slightly—the spin tub should stop within a few seconds.

During the above processes, the washing machine should not exhibit malfunctions, unusual noises, or water leakage. Water leakage is a defect in washing machines and requires focused inspection. First, fill the washing tub and spin tub with water to check if there is any leakage underneath the tubs. Then, place the drain hose on the ground and close the drain switch. If water continues to flow out of the drain hose, it can be determined that the washing tub is leaking. Additionally, after testing the inlet and drainage, check whether the door seal has good elasticity. If the elasticity is insufficient, there is a possibility of water seeping through the door gap.

Step 4:

Check whether the included accessories are complete and functional according to the instruction manual.
